I wanted to know if anyone has any links or information on the benefits of uvb and leopard geckos? I've been reading around forums lately lots of discussion about it. I ask because I was thinking about using uvb lights for my pair of leos. I have zilla Desert Series tube lights for my uromastyx and my bearded dragon and on the box of the product it says they are ideal for leopard geckos. I mean I really like these lights, so I'd have no problem using them for my leos. But I was just wondering and wanted a little more information.

I actually read on a forum somewhere recently something about this. Unfortunately I don't remember where it was. I'll try to look though. I'm not completely sure myself as to benefits of uv and leos. But I obviously do know that they need calcium (which for other animals they can only process the calcium with the uv rays). But for what its worth, I have some Zilla Desert 50 fluorescent lights and I consider them to work as great as mvbs or any other uvb out there.
