The dog bed is empty where Stormy used to rest. We had to put her down earlier this year. She was 17 -- she got to enjoy a long life. Toward the end, she would wet herself and have accidents in the house. I got mad at her, when it wasn't her fault nobody was home to let her out.

I'm so sorry about losing Stormy. We have an old Sheltie, and he is such a big part of our family. It's so hard when there's a loss!

Thank you. Right after Stormy was gone, her friend Hera wanted to sleep outside every night. She hadn't wanted to do that before. So we could tell she was sad. I think she's better now, though.

If you need to, or haven't forgiven yourself, be sure and do so. We as humans usually try to do our best to care for our loved one's. Society's pressure to 'provide' makes it hard to always be there for our pets. God bless.
