First-time benefit for Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption. Participants select a 5K run or a “Fun Run”, followed by awards and festivities. Dogs may run also. Register online or call 913-831-PETS.

Pets in the Park
Pet parade, pet vendors, pet contests (including Pet With Best Trick, Most Unique Pet, Best Owner/Pet Look-Alike). Awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m. following the pet parade. Parade participants are asked to bring an item to donate to the animal shelter (collars, treats, pet toys, etc.).

Garage sale 8–noon, vendor booths noon–6pm, bake sale, barbecue, music by Scratched Vinyl. $10 admission for burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, and soda.

Woofstock
Woofstock is THE festival for people and their pets! Join us for the 5K Mutt Run or a 1 mile Woof Walk. New this year is the Pet Obstacle Course! Also music, vendors, contests, stunt dogs, agility demos, games, and much more. Presented by NAWS (Northland Animal Welfare Society). Registration for the 5K or 1-mile walk is $25 before May 16, and $30 after (including day of event).

Bark at the Park
Take your dog to a Royals game! The event will also include a pre-game parade and vendors in dog-friendly areas (weather permitting). Tickets are $26, which includes human and canine game ticket, dog leash, $3 donation to Wayside Waifs. To register, call or email britt.gardner@royals.com.

5K run (held at Brookwood Elementary, 3411 W 103rd St, Leawood, KS) at 7:30am, 1-mile dog walk at 8:30am. Registration fee for 5K is $25, 1-mile walk is $20. Festival (10am) includes a dog agility course, vendors, and childrens' activities. Please bring only vaccinated, friendly dogs. Samantha Fish is the headline entertainer at this live concert event.
