POWELL, Wyo. — Booster the rooster has gotten the boot.
After neighbors filed a complaint, Addie Heintz and her son Bodie were told their pet rooster could no longer live in their backyard in Powell.

Powell police say a neighbor initially complained about the noisy bird. In response, the city's animal control officer informed Heintz she needed an exotic pet permit to keep Booster around.
But Police Chief Tim Feathers denied the permit, citing concerns over future noise and disturbance to the neighborhood.
Heintz says she was hoping for a different decision, and even offered to build Booster a coop to keep out the morning light and subdue his morning crows.
Heintz says she found a less-urban setting for Booster to reside earlier this week.
