Dog blamed for crash that injures motorcyclist

A 39-year-old Tonganoxie man was injured after a dog ran up and struck his motorcycle in Easton, Kan.

The crash occurred about 1:05 p.m. Saturday near the 30900 block of 231st Street.

Delmar E. Lozano was headed north on 231st on a 1981 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the dog came from the west and struck the motorcycle in the northbound lane, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Lozano was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. He was wearing eye protection but not a helmet, according to the report.

No further information was available early this morning.
